FAQ

About Our Socks

MAVCHI socks are made from approximately 90% combed cotton, 4% spandex and 6% nylon. These percentages are approximate and may vary slightly between sizes and colours. We use combed cotton for a soft, comfortable feel, while spandex helps the socks stay comfortably in place and nylon adds strength and durability.

Combed cotton is cotton that has been specially processed to remove shorter fibres and impurities, leaving behind longer, smoother fibres. This creates a softer, smoother and more comfortable yarn than standard cotton, while also helping the fabric feel more refined and durable.

That’s why we choose combed cotton for MAVCHI socks — for a soft, comfortable feel you can enjoy every day.

No. MAVCHI socks are designed to be low-pilling, not completely pill-free. They are specially treated to help reduce pilling and maintain a smooth appearance through regular wear and washing. Like any cotton product, some pilling may occur over time depending on how the socks are worn and washed.

Sizing & Fit

Yes! MAVCHI socks are designed to be unisex, with sizes based on foot length rather than gender. Choose the size that best matches your foot length for a comfortable fit.

Our sock sizes are based on foot length, rather than age or standard S/M/L sizing.

To measure your foot, place your heel against a wall and stand naturally on a piece of paper. Mark the point where your longest toe ends, then measure the distance from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement when choosing your size.

Our sizes are:

XX-Small: 12–15cm
X-Small: 16–19cm
Small: 20–22cm
Medium: 23–25cm
Large: 26–28cm

Between two sizes? For children, we recommend choosing the larger size to allow some room for growing. For adults, we generally recommend the smaller size for a closer, more comfortable fit, as socks may relax slightly with regular wear.

Consider your foot shape too. If you have a wider or fuller foot, you may find a slightly larger size more comfortable. For example, if your foot measures 23cm but is quite wide, you could consider it closer to 23.5cm when choosing your size. If you have a slim or narrow foot, you may prefer a slightly smaller fit.

These are general guidelines, so choose the size that you feel will give you the most comfortable fit.

Colours

Colours may appear slightly different from the actual socks due to differences in screens, display settings, lighting and individual perception. Our product images are colour-adjusted to represent the sock colours as accurately as possible, but an exact match cannot always be guaranteed.

The same colour may also have slight variations between different production lots, as the dyeing process can result in subtle differences from one batch to another.

Colour names are also intended as a guide only. Everyone perceives and describes colours differently, so a colour name is our best description rather than an exact definition of the colour.

Washing & Care

Take it easy! If we told you to hand-wash your socks, you probably wouldn’t buy them — and honestly, life is too short to hand-wash socks.

Just care for them like your everyday clothes. Throw them in the washing machine as part of your normal wash cycle. If you want to give them a little extra care, pop them into a washing bag before washing.

They may not come out looking exactly like new forever — but they’re made for everyday life, and we promise you won’t regret making sock care this easy.

Yes! Throw them in the dryer if that’s how you normally do your laundry. For best results, use a lower heat setting where possible and avoid unnecessarily high heat, which may cause some shrinkage and gradually affect the elasticity of the socks.

Orders & Shipping

We offer a friendly flat shipping rate of $6 for all orders under $50, including postage and packing materials. Orders over $50 ship free.

You might notice that the actual postage can be less than $6 for a small order, or more than $6 for a larger one. We use a simple flat rate so you don’t have to pay the full cost of postage and packing when your order is small, while larger orders don’t become expensive to send either.

We know postage and packing costs can add up these days, and we don’t want shipping costs to get in the way of sending yourself — or someone you love — a few little things that make you happy.

We currently ship within Australia only.
At this stage, we don’t offer international shipping.

Not at the moment. We currently offer standard shipping only and are unable to accept express or urgent delivery requests. We know sometimes you need your socks yesterday — but for now, please allow enough time for your order to arrive.

We usually dispatch orders within 3 business days. Please note that Australia Post may take a little extra time to sort and scan your parcel, so your tracking information may not appear immediately after dispatch. No need to worry if you see that your order has been dispatched but the tracking hasn’t updated yet — please give it a little time.

Most MAVCHI orders are sent through Australia Post. Depending on the size of your order, some smaller orders may be sent as a letter without tracking. From time to time, we may also deliver your order directly ourselves. The delivery method may vary depending on your order and location.

Most orders arrive within about a week after dispatch. However, delivery times can vary, and Australia Post may occasionally experience delays due to circumstances beyond our control.

If your order is taking a little longer than expected, please be patient and allow some extra time for it to arrive. We really appreciate it!

We know waiting for an order is never fun! Most orders arrive within about a week after dispatch, but sometimes Australia Post can take longer than expected.

If your order still hasn’t arrived one month after the dispatch date, please contact us. We’ll be happy to look into it and arrange a refund where appropriate.

We’re a small business and genuinely care about making things right for our customers. We really appreciate your patience, honesty and kindness.

Returns & Refunds

Yes, we understand that sometimes you may change your mind. For change-of-mind returns, the buyer is responsible for the return postage, and the socks must be in new and unworn condition.

We completely understand that you may need to take the socks out of their packaging to check the colour, size and quality before deciding whether they’re right for you. That’s absolutely fine.

However, for hygiene reasons, we cannot accept socks that have been worn. We kindly ask everyone to be honest and considerate — it helps us treat every customer fairly and keep our small business going.

Please let us know! If your socks arrive faulty or damaged, feel free to contact us and ask for a refund. We’ll be happy to make it right.

We understand that things can occasionally go wrong, and we want every MAVCHI customer to have a good experience.

If we’ve sent you the wrong item or size by mistake, please contact us and we’ll make it right.

If you selected the wrong size yourself, this would be treated as a change-of-mind return, so the return postage would be your responsibility, provided the socks are new and unworn.

Just contact us with your order number and a brief explanation of what happened. If you’re requesting a refund for a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, a photo may also help us understand the issue and sort it out quickly.

We’ll get back to you and guide you through the next steps.

For change-of-mind returns, the return postage is the buyer’s responsibility.

If the item is faulty, damaged, or we sent you the wrong item, please contact us first. We’ll help sort it out with you.
